Biography

Kuanyshbek Yessekeyev has held leadership roles in information technology, telecommunications and public administration. He began as a lecturer in applied mathematics before heading departments at Kazakhoil, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy and government agencies.

He chaired the Agency for Informatization and Communications in 2007–2010 and the Management Board of Kazakhtelecom in 2010–2024. He served as an adviser to the President of Kazakhstan in 2024–2025 and was appointed Assistant to the President on 9 September 2025.

He graduated from Al-Farabi University, T. Ryskulov Economic University and Hult International Business School. He holds an MBA and the degree of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
