Biography
Yerlan Nysanbaev graduated from the Kazakh Agricultural Institute and Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University. He trained as a forest engineer, earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and the degree of Candidate of Agricultural Sciences.
He began as a forestry foreman, later worked in regional government and commercial organisations, led the Forestry and Hunting Committee, served as a deputy minister and advised the akim of Astana. In 2023, he was appointed Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources.
