Biography

Bakhytzhan Sapiyev is a public official and Candidate of Economic Sciences. He began his career at the Kazakh Agricultural Institute, progressing from laboratory assistant to senior lecturer.

From 1992, he worked in Almaty district administrations in construction, environmental and sanitary oversight. He was Deputy Governor of Bostandyk District in 1998–2008 and headed Almaty’s entrepreneurship and industry department in 2008–2012.

He later held senior posts in technical regulation, industrial development and industrial safety. In 2020–2025, he worked in state control departments of the Presidential Executive Office.

He was appointed an adviser to the President of Kazakhstan on 25 September 2025.

• 2023–2025 – Head of the State Control Department of the Presidential Executive Office.
• 25 September 2025 – appointed an adviser to the President of Kazakhstan.
