Biography

Karakat Abden is an economist and public figure. She worked in the tax authorities and Ministry of Finance system on large taxpayers, electronic monitoring and financial control.

She later became founding director of Nur Bobek and deputy director of Kazakh Orda. She served in the Astana maslikhat’s sixth convocation in 2016–2021 as a member of its Social and Cultural Development Committee.

Her parliamentary biography also records work at the National School of Public Policy and participation in Astana’s Public Council. On 19 October 2022, the CEC registered her as a presidential candidate nominated by the National Alliance of Professional Social Workers.

Her archived profile for the eighth convocation of the Mazhilis lists her as an Auyl deputy and a member of the Finance and Budget Committee. The parliamentary biography records a Candidate of Economic Sciences degree.
