Biography
Mukhamedkali Tauan earned a Bachelor of Economics at the Ryskulov Kazakh University of Economics and an MBA at the Kazakh-British Technical University. Before joining Dara, he held senior positions at the Astana International Financial Centre, the National Investment Corporation of Kazakhstan’s National Bank and private companies.
On 27 January 2025, the fund announced his appointment as president by its Board of Trustees. The Adilet party list published on 22 July 2026 identified Tauan as CEO of the Uni-Q Group media holding and a resident of Astana.
Akorda also reported that he received the Eren Enbegi Ushin medal, identifying him as CEO of Uni-Q Group.
