The Akimat of Almaty region is the local executive body for a region in south-eastern Kazakhstan. Its administrative centre is Konaev. The region comprises nine districts and the cities of Konaev and Alatau. The akimat develops and implements territorial economic and social development plans, programmes and the local budget, and manages communal property. The region’s official page lists Arinov Shyngys Sairanuly as akim.
